This is the reason why people prefer to go to Jogja than the other cities because Jogja is the cradle of Javanese culture. KRATON YOGYAKARTA

Yogyakarta palace/Kraton/Sultan Palace were built in 1756-1790, by sultan Hamengkubuwono I. Its architecture is tyhe example of Javanese cosmos style and reflects Javanese culture. The palace still used as the residence of King or Sultan and also as Javanese art and cultural center.
Open : Monday – Sunday (8 am – 2pm) and closed at 12 pm on Friday.
PAKULALAMAN PALACE

There is another palace in Jogja called Pura Akualaman. On the northern wing of the palace there is Pura Pakualaman Museum that display the Pakualaman family inheritance. Now, the palace is used for serving the government guests who visitv Jogja.

TAMAN SARI

Taman sari is one of the parts of palace’s life and is the most intriguing tourism object. Literary, tamansari means “fragrant garden”. It was a secret place as a pleasure park in the old times. Its shape is a garden with waterways and hundreds of flowering trees. In ancient time, the Sultans and his harems liked to spent their relax times in the tower and watched female bathe pool.

BERINGHARJO TRADITIONAL MARKET

The grand market was built on the nort Vredeburg fort by 18 th century. Entering this place, visitors will feel like they are in the different world. Visitors can find handicrafts such as keris, batik, etc.
