Its architecture is tyhe example of Javanese cosmos style and reflects Javanese culture. The palace still used as the residence of king or Sultan and also as Javanese art and cultural center.
Open : Monday – Sunday (8 am – 2pm) and closed at 12 pm on Friday.

There is another palace in Jogja called Pura Akualaman. On the northern wing of the palace there is Pura Pakualaman museum that display the Pakualaman family inheritance. Now, the palace is used for serving the government guests who visitv jogja.
